The Final Destiny of the Gods

Despite the exponential rise of new generation MMORPGs, it is still retaining its popularity throughout the years. A whole variety of servers was also released, official and even unofficial ones at that.

Comprised of a series of maps each with its own characteristics and of course its own set of creatures that inhibit it. The Maps are also designed in such a way that it resembled familiar places like ancient cities in china and japan, Niflheim and even Valhalla.

The game has a 3D environment but are represented by 2D character sprites. Is also quite fast paced compared to most online RPGs. Features a Job Class System of your choice depending on your playing style, melee, ranged, magic etc.

You probably guessed what game this is by now. If not, it's Ragnarok Online.

Gameplay 8/10
You get to play as a generic character at first "novice" then after fulfilling a certain requirement, you get to choose which job class you are going to take (swordsman, archer, merchant, thief, magician, acolyte)

You also get to fully customize your character through adjusting stats, skills, and equipment. You wouldn't be able to learn all skills or max all stats, you can go pure build or a hybrid one, each with its own advantages and disadvantages.

Guild Siege a.k.a. WOE (War of Emperium) is one of the things that can get you hooked. Strategy VS Strategy, Power VS Power, Trash talking everywhere but at the end of the day it's enjoyable

Equipment Recycling is possible here for most characters, you can opt to use and upgrade generic equipment if you want to share your equipment to your other characters.

The bad thing is that it also means theft is possible and is actually quite rampant.

Graphics 9/10
Cute anime-style characters.

There's something about the graphics that just make it very appealing to play and even to simply watch, Ragnarok looks unique and different compared to other MMORPGs

Sound 7/10
Musical Background Music / WAV SFX

Background Music is quite fun to listen to even repeatedly over and over as it also fits the environment per map.

SFX on the other-hand needs improvement.

PS: Ragnarok Online also consumes less resource compared to most MMOs so it is possible to play in a lower-end PC, not during guild siege though.
